Technical description: The BVA-100 test utilizes HSA I-131 to make a measure of patient plasma volume utilizing multiple samples for accuracy. The test measures patient total plasma volume and provides a derivative calculation utilizing an input of the patient’s hematocrit to impute a patient’s red cell volume and total blood volume when hematocrit is provided as well as a tracer transudation rate.
