DAXOR’s BVA-100 uses the “Ideal Height & Weight Method”* in order to determine the patient’s normal blood volume. This is based on the principle that a patients’s gender and deviation from ideal weight is associated with a particular ratio of blood volume to weight.
This method was found to be much more accurate than previous methods involving only height, weight or body surface area.
